The service
Paracausal provides informational views and utilities for Destiny 2. By using it, a user agrees to use the site lawfully and within these terms. Public data can be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable, and features can change or stop without notice.
Paracausal is an independent project, not an official Bungie service. It does not sell Destiny items, provide game access, guarantee in-game outcomes, or act as an authority for leaderboards, speedruns, suspensions, or account disputes.
Connected accounts and actions
A user is responsible for the Bungie account they authorize and for keeping their browser, device, pairing codes, and local companion secure. Do not connect or search an account in a way that violates another person’s rights or Bungie’s rules.
Inventory transfers and other account mutations can have unintended consequences. Confirm the item, source, destination, and resulting state in Destiny. A preview, optimizer result, or model suggestion is not consent to perform an action.
Paracausal attempts to guard mutations and report uncertain outcomes honestly, but network failures can make the final state unclear. When that happens, refresh from Bungie before repeating an action. Users remain responsible for actions they approve through the site or local companion.
Acceptable use
- Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, probe other users’ sessions, or introduce malicious code.
- Do not overload Paracausal, Bungie, Today in Destiny, Google, or another provider through automated or abusive requests.
- Do not use the tools to impersonate another person, misrepresent a report, or claim a derived result is an official Bungie judgment.
- Do not use Paracausal in a way that violates Bungie’s terms, platform rules, game rules, or applicable law.
- Do not redistribute site code, original copy, or compiled datasets in a manner that falsely presents them as another product’s work.
Ownership and third-party material
Paracausal’s original interfaces, explanations, transformations, and calculation logic belong to their respective project owner. Bungie owns or controls Destiny, Destiny 2, Bungie names, game definitions, artwork, and other Bungie material. Other named sources and providers retain their own rights.
Game data and images are displayed to identify and explain relevant Destiny content; their presence does not transfer ownership or imply endorsement. Links and source attribution are provided for context. Users must follow the terms that apply to Bungie, Google, model providers, and any linked service.
Availability and limitations
Paracausal is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that data, calculations, ads, integrations, or account actions will always be accurate, complete, timely, secure, or uninterrupted. Source APIs and manifests can contain errors. The methodology describes known calculation and coverage limits.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Paracausal is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site, a third-party service, an account action, or reliance on a displayed result. Nothing here excludes a right or responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and ending use
A user can stop using the public site at any time, disconnect Bungie, clear browser data, and stop the local companion. Access may be limited when needed to protect the service, users, providers, or legal rights.
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means the user accepts the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. Read the privacy notice for the separate description of data handling.
